Outlook.com accounts
Add Outlook.com account to your profile using auto account setup to create a Microsoft Exchange account. If you want to use POP3 or IMAP, you'll need to set the account up manually. Server names are in Outlook.com's Options.
POP3 Accounts
POP3 will work with any email client that uses POP3, including Outlook 2002 and earlier. Only mail in the Inbox is downloaded to the local computer.
Instructions for POP3 accounts can be found here: Online Services for Outlook
IMAP Accounts
Outlook has improved support for IMAP accounts. Outlook 2007 added the ability to choose what folder to use for Sent items (online or local) and in Outlook 2010, to choose a Deleted Items folder. Outlook 2013 and above removed these options and use the folders designated by the IMAP server.
As implemented natively in Outlook, IMAP folders support only message and post items, not Outlook's special contact, appointment, task, journal and sticky note items. Outlook 2013 and above allow you to save appointments, contacts, tasks, and notes in the IMAP data file, in folders labeled 'this computer only'. These folders are not backed up; if anything happens to the data file, the contents f these folders will be lost.

We keep getting pop.broadband notices every time we log into our e-mail.
I have called our internet provider and re-set the passwords, yet this pop-broadband 'pop-up' keeps appearing....HELP!
What does the notice say? Do you also check the account using a smartphone or tablet device? If so, does the message go away if you turn the device off?
thank you :)
