    Hi Diane

I have aquestion - We are using Office65, and wehn Outlook opens, it prompts for the password not once but more than 9 times then settles and syncs. My computer is on the inetrnet via a fibre line, setting up a new mail profile made no difference. Office build is up to date.
when I open another mailkbox on the local Exchange server, it propmpts only once for the password which is normal.
Are other people also experiencing this, or is it just me I was wondering ?

    Dear Diane Poremsky
Outlook provides two folder properties options notifying the user of the number of email items in an individual folder. This although helpful is not very sophisticated and cries out for power user enhancements. I would appreciate any guidance you might offer given your expert Outlook user status.
    Yours, Jerry Baker

I want to enhance Outlook folder properties settings to:
(Show both) - Show total number of read & unread items. These option settings are mutually exclusive.
(Include all subfolders) - Folders include subfolders and must be opened to see their counted items.
(Apply these setting globally to all folders) – Settings are limited to individual folders.

Description: These option settings are currently mutually exclusive.
    Show number of unread items
Add option to (include all subfolders)
Add option to (apply these setting globally to all folders)
    Show total number of items
Add option to (include all subfolders)
Add option to (apply these setting globally to all folders)

Thanks for the Outlook solutions site it has helped me clean up 60k plus emails in my inbox. I lost so much time caching between Outlook 2016 client and the exchange server.

I have an idea of sorting emails grouped by sender in order of quantity of emails for each sender. I understand that Outlook does not work like that.

I have copied vba code to send the count data to excel and the results are excellent. I am not sure how to tweak the vba to replace InboxSearch with a user defined variable for any created folder name.

This is an idea for the future.

I am hoping that there are other people like me who want to regain control over their excessive mailing list subscriptions without handing over the keys to their account to a third party.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,

Just following up as I didn't hear back from you, sorry to email you again. I noticed your page http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/lunarsunrise-calendars-outlook/ links to timeanddate.com. Unfortunately, that site isn't very accessible for the sight impaired. Would you consider adding a link to a more accessible version like http://www.thetimenow.com which is WCAG 2.0 compatible?

Also, if you ever want to see how accessible a page is, I recommend wave.webaim.org. It is really helpful.

    Thanks,
    Liz Cook

When I put information such as name and address in my Outlook Address Book without an email address, nothing gets there. What do I have to do?

The Address book (when you click To or click the Address book button on the ribbon) displays only contacts with electronic addresses, which are either email addresses or fax numbers. Contacts without electronic addresses are only accessible in the Contacts folder.
