A yearly recurrence pattern was introduced in Office 2007 SP2, unfortunately people who synced with Windows Mobile devices discovered their recurring events changed to recur every 12 years after syncing. I'm happy to announce that a hotfix released this week includes a fix for this bug.
We're seeing numerous complaints that Exchange 2010 archive mailboxes are missing after installing Office 2010 from MSDN or TechNet media.
This is not a problem with the Exchange Server or Outlook configuration but a limitation of the Retail keys first available on TechNet and MSDN. Retention policies and personal archive aren’t available in the Outlook 2010 Professional Plus Retail version. Using Volume licensing keys will restore the archive mailbox and retention policies.
If you are using a custom form or template and
don't want your default signature added to the
form, you can edit the registry a prevent the
signature from being added to it.
Browse to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Outlook\Options
(where xx equals your version number of 10, 11,
12, or 14)
Add:
DWORD: NoAutosigOnCustomForms
Data value: 1 (for no signature)
Restart Outlook and open a custom form to verify
your signature isn't added.
If you want your signature added to some forms
and not others, you'll need to either leave this
enabled (value of 0 or delete the key) and delete
the signature or use the key with a value of 1
and insert the signature when needed.
