View Outlook.com calendar in OWA?

A user wanted to know if he could view his Outlook.com calendar in OWA.

I'd like to know if it's possible to view an Outlook.com calendar in OWA. At the office we use Exchange Online and Outlook Web Access for our mail and calendar solution. At home, my family uses an Outlook.com calendar to manage our family's schedule. Is there any way that I can view the family calendar in my work account ? Ideally, I'd like the option to toggle the family calendar on/off. I'd also like to keep the family calendar hidden from my colleagues when they view my work calendar.

If you use Office 365, you can view Internet Calendars (*.ics) in OWA, side by side with your Exchange calendar. Look for the Add Calendar link under the Share button on your OWA calendar. This works with Hotmail, Gmail and many other online calendars.

If you used Outlook, you would be able to subscribe to the calendar and display a read-only copy of the calendar in Outlook, either side-by-side with the Exchange calendar or by overlaying the calendars. Which Exchange Server you used would not be a factor.

I have what's probably an unrelated question -- but I thought I'd ask anyway. I'm using SharePoint 2013 Online (Enterprise) and Office 365 and it appears that I can't connect calendars or contacts from SharePoint to Outlook online (OWA?) as the option to connect to Outlook is not enabled. However, I've had no trouble connecting SharePoint Online to Outlook desktop on another SharePoint Online site. Am I understanding this correctly? Any help you can provide is appreciated, Diane.

SharePoint 2013 to Outlook desktop definitely works. They don't connect to OWA AFAIK, mainly because both are online.

Not all list support connecting to outlook - but those that do will have a connect to outlook button on the list ribbon.

Diane,
I am running Windows 7 Pro (64-bit), Outlook 2013 (64-bit) and have an Hotmail account that has been upgraded to Outlook.com.

Does the O13 Calendar and Contacts automatically sync after the initial upload/drag?
If you make a change to a contact in O13, will it automatically make the change in the Outlook.com/Hotmail contact?

What if I did not want to sync email from Outlook.com/Hotmail and only wanted the Calendar and Contacts from O13 to be displayed in Outlook.com/Hotmail. I would prefer not to have Outlook.com/Hotmail in my O13 client. What steps are needed to perform this task?

It's *supposed* to sync within a few seconds to a few minutes automatically - for both new items & changes. I found I needed to add categories to appointments after moving them to the outlook.com folder to get them to sync.

If you want Outlook.com set up in Outlook, you need to export as csv and import into outlook.com. At this time there is no way to sync without the account in outlook.
