I have a few user questions to answer this week and will begin with a question about a bug in Quick Steps.
I just noticed when I open an email and try to use a Quick Step, such as Add to calendar or Create an appointment, I get the error message that says the 'Calendar Folder Cannot Be Found'. What is going on and how can I fix it?
I've only seen this bug, which also affects the Task quick steps, with messages in IMAP accounts when the Calendar is in a different data file (which is highly recommended when using IMAP accounts as the 'This computer only' folder is not recoverable if something happens to the IMAP data file.)
You have a couple of options.
You can drag the message to the Calendar icon (or word Calendar in the Folder Bar) to create a new appointment in the default calendar. Right-click and drag to see all of the options available: Copy as appointment with text, as attachment, Move as text, or Move as attachment.
If you don't like dragging, you can use the Move to (or Copy to) folder command to create the appointment. If the Calendar folder isn't listed, you'll need to click Other folder and select it.
Drag or move messages to the Task button to create tasks from the message.
If the Quick Step did more than just move messages to Calendar (or Tasks), you'll need to drag then use your Quick Step.
The right-click while dragging no longer appear with Build 11929.20300
Can you drag the messages at all? I lost the ability to drag messages to folders yesterday when I had updates waiting for a reboot. After rebooting, it worked again.
