Set a default Meeting Provider
Microsoft 365 users with Outlook.com or Office 365 Exchange online mailboxes can choose to make all meetings online. With this enabled, when the user creates a meeting, it will have a Teams meeting automatically added. Don't use Teams? Not a problem, you can change the default meeting provider to another source, including Zoom, GotoMeeting, WebEx, Google Meet, BlueJeans, or JioMeet. The only requirement is you need to install the Office add-in for the meeting provider.
Note: While you can have both the Office add-in and a COM add-in installed in Outlook for Windows, it may result in two meeting links added to the meeting when you use the COM Add-in to create the meeting.
To enable (or disable) the option to make all meetings online, or to choose the default meeting provider in Outlook for Windows, open Options > Calendar and click on Add Meeting Provider. If you have more than one Microsoft account in your profile, you can choose different meeting providers for each account, but cannot disable the option for some accounts and enable it for others.
On Outlook for Mac (New Outlook mode), the option is in Preferences > Calendar. Click Configure button for Add online meeting to all events. If you have multiple accounts, you can choose different providers for each and can disable the option for some accounts.
In Outlook mobile, the option is in per-account. Open Settings, select the account and enable or disable Online meetings. Your only choice for meeting provider might be Teams.
In Outlook on the web, turn it on or off in Settings (gear icon) > View all Outlook settings > Calendar > Events and invitations and enable (or disable) Add online meeting to all meetings.
Microsoft 365 admins can configure this for the organization using the Set-OrganizationConfig cmdlet and the OnlineMeetingsByDefaultEnabled parameter.

Turn off new Windows Search features
While not an Outlook or Office issue, most of my clients ask how to disable the childish image in the search bar in Windows 10 and 11, so I figured a few of my readers might want top disable it too.
Right-click on either the search icon or the weather icon in the Taskbar to bring up a menu. Select Search at the top and uncheck Show Search Highlights.
If the News page that comes up when you move the mouse over the temperature in the Taskbar annoys you, you can turn off the hover off too. From the same menu where the Search settings are, choose New and interests menu then uncheck Open on hover.
Reminder: Outlook 2007/2010 and Microsoft 365 mailboxes
My monthly reminder: In October, Microsoft 365 business accounts, which includes all GoDaddy's Office 365 mailboxes, will only support Office 2013 and newer. Users will not be able to use Outlook (any version) in connect to their Office 365 mailbox using POP or IMAP. Updated email clients, such as Thunderbird or eM Client will be able to connect using POP or IMAP.
Microsoft's periodic reminder is to disable POP and IMAP access to account from a couple of days.
Later this month, Outlook.com users will be required to use Outlook 2013 or newer to connect to the Outlook.com accounts as Microsoft Exchange accounts. POP and IMAP accounts will continue to work.
