This page contains utilities that automate the removal of duplicate appointments.
If the duplicate appointments are the result of importing, you can add the modified date field to the view and sort by it, then delete appointments based on the modified dates. When the cause of the duplicated appointments is PDA synchronization one of the utilities listed below is generally the easiest method to remove duplicates.
If you imported duplicates from the Outlook holiday file, see To remove duplicate holidays from the Calendar folder in Microsoft Outlook
Many of these tools will remove duplicates from any Microsoft Outlook folder type, however, if you are looking for tools to remove duplicated contacts or mail items, you may want to look at the tools on the following pages as well. Hi Dianne
We need an Exchange dedup tool that will run across up to 50 accounts - does your tool do that?
Also does it delete if 2 or more appointments exist with the same start time, end time and subject? If so how does it know which one to keep?
Thanks
MBS
I know many of the dedup tools are available with corporate licenses, but they are outlook addins and are installed on each computer.
They will remove two identical appointments - most let you select fields to check, but checking date/time and subject would be the default, you could include Notes field. I'm not sure which one gets deleted, the newest or oldest - but if they are identical, it won't matter. :) Some of the tools, like ReliefJet, can categorize the ones it identifies as duplicates, which makes it easier to spot check.

BTW - there is a powershell script in technet but i don't know if it works on all items, including appointments or only on all mail - the notes say all folders.
