Shared Mailbox Calendars in Outlook mobile
Users are reporting that shared mailbox calendars are randomly showing up on their mobile devices. Unchecking the calendars removes the calendars from the display but users wondered why the calendars were displaying.
This is part new feature and part bug. Shared calendars available on mobile devices is part of the new calendaring experience, however, they are not supposed to be displayed by default on the mobile device. Fortunately, this problem should be fixed now.
Microsoft’s response:
As has been mentioned at Ignite for the past couple years, an ongoing effort is to enable Outlook calendar users to see the same calendars on all their devices. There is a special effort underway for shared calendars to modernize these calendars such that they can be viewed & managed from mobile devices (both Outlook mobile and 3rd party mobile apps). The modernization of shared calendars is intended to be completely invisible to the user experience: the work thus far has been to upgrade the calendars, such that they would show up in mobile apps' calendar list but not selected by default when they first appear.
However, an issue occurred where the calendars were being selected by default when they were synced down to mobile devices. The issue should be fully mitigated in the next day or two, and the upgrading/modernization will resume being invisible to users. Users who were affected can simply unselect those calendars from view in their mobile device, or if they do not need the calendars at all, they can remove the calendar. We apologize for the surprise and inconvenience this may have caused.
Account name missing from title bar
A user complained about a missing "feature" in Outlook: the account name is no longer displayed in the title bar. This was a great visual clue for anyone with more than one account in Outlook as it was an easy to see which account you were working in.
After yesterday's MS Office update, I can no longer see the account name in the top blue bar of Outlook. This is vital because I manage both my account and my boss's, so I need to be clear about which account I'm sending from. It used to have the account name but now, no indicator at all. How do I restore this?
At this point, you cannot restore it, except by rolling back to an earlier build. Instructions to rollback are at Uninstall Updates in Office 'Click to Run'
This is the December build 2008: 16.0.13127.20910
This is the August build, which is the last Version of 2002 build: 16.0.12527.20988
Images in Tasks are fixed (finally!)
As I mentioned in previous issues of EMO, when you paste an image in the body of a Contact or Task (or an RTF formatted email) then reopen the item, the image will appear blank or misaligned.
This bug if fixed in the update released this week. If you are still having problems, check for updates. You need Version 2101 Build 13609.10000 or newer.
This will fix newly pasted images but will not fix or restore previously created tasks that were affected by this bug.
Share links by email in Edge
A user had a question:
I've setup outlook at my default for mail but when I attempt to email a page link from edge only accounts setup in the windows 10 email program are accessible.
When you use the Share link in Edge, it has an email button, which uses Windows 10 mail. The built in options do not include Outlook. There is an outlook app in the store - but it is (or was) only available in the US store.
If you are not in the US, you can log into the US store to install it and it will work when you go back to the store in your language.

If you need to change the store location, you’ll change your Microsoft account location at https://account.microsoft.com/profile/ then Edit country or region.
Delete all Contacts in Outlook on the web?
If you’ve ever tried to delete a large number of contacts from Outlook on the web, you know it’s not easy: you are limited to deleting 50 contacts at a time. This is to protect you from accidentally all contacts, but it makes it hard to delete the contacts when you need to.
You have two options:
Delete 50 at a time. Select one contact, scroll down then press Shift and select another contact. Delete, rinse and repeat.
Add the account to Outlook desktop software. You’ll be able to select all and delete, or use Outlook’s better sort and filter capabilities to make it easier to select some, but not all contacts. If you don’t have Office software, you can use the trial.
