How to delete Autocomplete’s Other Suggestions
Microsoft introduced a new autocomplete feature in Outlook 2016, instead of showing only recently used addresses in autocomplete, it lists “Other Suggestions”. As with the previous autocomplete menu, recent addresses can be deleted by either selecting and pressing Delete or using the X to the right of the name.
Since Other Suggestions entries don’t include the X, how do you delete them?
The easiest way, if Outlook cooperates, is to type enough of the name so that it moves up to the Recent People section, where it can be deleted.
If Outlook doesn’t cooperate, you’ll need to switch to Contacts and type all or part of the address into the Search Contacts field. In the Search ribbon, select All Contact Items (first button on the left of the Search ribbon). The autocomplete entries are stored in a hidden folder called 'recipient cache', which is included in the All Contacts Items search. Delete the 'contact' that is found.
While we’re on the topic of the autocomplete cache entries showing up in instant search, I’ll mention that the DoNotIncludeNickNameCacheInSearch registry key breaks the new autocomplete dialog. It’s purpose is to limit the Search People results to actual contacts but with both Search People and autocomplete using the same control, it means the nickname cache is not included in autocomplete either.
iCloud Addin is not listed under Outlook Addins
The problem: iCloud stops syncing with Outlook and in attempt to fix it, the user opens Outlook's Add-ins list and deletes the iCloud add-in. The user then repairs or reinstalls iCloud, thinking it will fix the problem. However, this does not add the iCloud add-in back in the list of add-ins. Signing out and back into iCloud does an initial sync, but new items and changes don't sync.
To fix this, you need to delete all registry keys for Apple.DAV.Addin. This will "break" iCloud (which is already broken) and it will ask you to do a repair when you re-open the iCloud control panel. After the repair and reboot, the iCloud add-in should be restored in Outlook.
Open the iCloud control panel from the Notification tray and verify Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks is NOT checked. Close the control panel. If Outlook is open, close it.
Open the registry editor and use Find (Ctrl+F) and Find Next (F3) to locate the keys containing Apple.DAV.Addin. If the key is specifically for Apple, delete the key. If the key contains values for other applications, delete the Apple.DAV.Addin value.
When you reach the end of the registry, close the registry editor and open the iCloud control panel. It should inform you that you need to repair iCloud in Programs and Features. In Program and features, click on iCloud and then click Change. Choose Repair. Once you do this and reboot the computer, the iCloud addin should be listed once again in Outlook’s addin list. Enable Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks sync in the iCloud control panel to set the iCloud up in Outlook.

Emails are not shown in the People Pane
Following the installation of Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update (version 1709), Outlook doesn't show recent messages in the People Pane.
Microsoft is aware of the issue. Although the Social Connector add-in is deprecated and all of the social features are disabled except for the People Pane, at this time we believe this bug will be fixed.
If you aren’t familiar with the People Pane, it’s a search results pane at the bottom of Outlook items and the reading pane. When you select a message or a contact, it shows recent messages from the selected person. If a message is sent to multiple people, selecting the sender’s or a recipient’s icon will display messages they sent you, meetings with them, and attachments.
The People Pane is a feature of the Social Connector and is only available if the Social Connector add-in is enabled, but the pane is turned off by default in new installations. You can turn it on in the View tab, People Pane menu. If the People Pane button is not visible next to The To-do Bar button, enable the Social Connector in File, Options, Add-ins.
Messages are sent from the wrong account
One vexing problem for users with multiple email accounts: when you send mail from other applications, the message will be sent from the email account associated with your default data file, which may not be your default email account. Because the messages are generated and sent automatically, you can’t change the sending account.
The recommended solution is to create a new profile with only that account in the profile then switch profiles before sending messages using the software. While you could change the default data file to one used by the desired account, using a new profile insures the messages are sent from the correct account.

End of support for the Excel and PowerPoint viewers and the Office Compatibility Pack
The Excel viewer, PowerPoint viewer, PowerPoint 2007 viewer, and the Office Compatibility Pack will be retired in April, 2018. At that time, they will no longer be available for download and will no longer receive security updates. Also, as previously announced, the Word viewer will be retired this month and will no longer be supported with security updates.
