Coming Soon: oAuth Support for Yahoo IMAP accounts
It's a long time coming, but Microsoft is finally adding oAuth support for Yahoo accounts to Outlook. This means you will no longer need to get an app password to add the account to Outlook. Enter the address, click Connect and enter your password or account key to sign in.
If you use an account key to sign in, you don’t need to enter a password; you'll approve it on the phone and enter a 4 character code. If not for the fact that I never keep my phone with me, it’s a really painless way to log in.
At this time it is in the beta channel, beginning with build 16308.10000.

QR codes for Outlook.com accounts
You can use a QR code to quickly add an Outlook.com account to your phone, but where do you find the QR code and how does it work?
Find the QR code here: https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/general/mobile At the bottom of the page, click on Sign in faster to Outlook on your phone to show the QR code.
On the mobile device:
1. Open the Outlook mobile app (Apple or Android).
2. Click the icon at the top to show the Accounts menu.
3. Click on the Add account button.
4. Choose Add Account and on the Add account page (may need to click Skip these accounts), click the QR code icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
5. Scan the code to add the account to Outlook. No password needed.
Fast and painless!
Fixed? Outlook Mac & Yahoo Accounts
As I reported in the last issue, following a recent update, Yahoo accounts are re-syncing and reloading frequently in the legacy version in Outlook on Mac.
Microsoft's solution is to switch to New Outlook. That may no longer be necessary, as users are reporting that after installing the latest updates to Outlook, Yahoo is no longer resyncing.
IMAP Yahoo and AOL accounts might experience issues with re-syncing folder content
