Problem: When using Outlook 2003 on Windows 7, users can't open zip attachments from a message - double clicking on the zip brings up the Open/Save dialog but clicking Open does not open it (the zip is saved in the securetemp folder each time you double click though).
It's not unusual for an Exchange server
mailbox to have several SMTP addresses associated
with it - often for sales and support or for
different subsidiaries of a small business. The
mailbox users want to be able to send messages
from any of the associated SMTP addresses, and
this is not possible with Exchange server - it
always uses the default SMTP address. Creating a
separate mailbox for each address adds its own
problems - managing multiple mailboxes can be a
hassle.
There are two ways to handle this problem:
Create IMAP accounts in Outlook, one for each
address. The user chooses the account they want
to use when they compose the message.
Create distribution groups on the server for the
secondary addresses and make the mailbox the only
member. (Remove the secondary addresses from the
mailbox before setting up the groups.) Give Send
as permission to each distribution group.
Neither method is perfect, but its the only way for now. Even Outlook 2010 doesn't do anything to address this situation, beyond allowing two Exchange accounts in the profile and choosing the sending account based on the folder in the view.
A surprising number of people run into this
problem:
"A colleague sends me draft emails as attachments
to a message. When I open the attachments to
revise the emails before sending, the send button
is grayed out. How do I send it?"
You need to move the attachment to your Draft
folder first. You can do this by dragging the
attachment from the message to the Drafts folder.
Once in Drafts, open the draft message and the
Send button will be active.
I expected the help calls for this problem is die down as Windows update pushed out IE8, but its still my number one issue, generating the most hits and "thanks" emails. Based on the comments in the emails, the cause appears to have shifted from installing IE to uninstalling Chrome.

unscientific poll, there is still time.
