Mobile Access to Outlook Data

This page lists personal mobile solutions that work directly to Outlook on the desktop. For server-based solutions that work directly with Exchange Server, see Server Tools for Mobile Access to Exchange Server Data.

Another approach is to use a web-based storage service, synchronizing Outlook data with the service. See Synchronizing Outlook - Web storage services.

Tools

Add2Exchange Enterprise Contacts with GAL Sync

Add2Exchange Enterprise Contacts with GAL Sync syncs Exchange global address list to users so they have a local copy of your corporate address book contacts and on smartphones and mobile devices. Global Address List synchronization allows you to treat the GAL as the 'source' public folder of a relationship to be synchronized one way with one or more users' mailbox folders. Supports small attached photos and Outlook fields which are not in the GAL. Sync 1-way, not bi-directional. Can sync Calendars, Tasks, Posts, Notes, and builds relationships with the Relationship Group Manager. 21 day trial.

GeneralSync

GeneralSync can sync between any number of Android devices and PCs with Thunderbird and/or Outlook. In contrast to other options it does not require a designated computer to be powered on at all times and works without uploading your data to any cloud. The synchronization is instead performed directly between the devices that are connected to each other at a given time (decentral, peer-to-peer). That way, it can be used in small offices or at home, without setting up or administering any kind of server. Currently, GeneralSync is available for free during a public beta phase.

Mobile Email Redirect

This add-in forwards the email you deem important to your email capable cell phone or pager but when you reply, the message goes back to the original sender. It saves space on tiny screens and more importantly, saves your thumbs.

OutlookSMS

Enables any version of Outlook to send SMS messages to mobile phone numbers listed in Outlook contacts and generate SMS appointment reminders automatically. Can also handle SMS replies back to your Inbox. Product consists of an Outlook add-in plus a service to generate the SMS messages. Does not trigger Outlook security prompts. A Lotus Notes version, NotesSMS, is also available.

XE2 Mobility

XE2 Mobility provides mobile device users with secure access to shared Microsoft Exchange contacts / calendars / delegated mailboxes. Works with all iOS, Android and BlackBerry (v7) devices.

HI! This page is supposed to list "personal mobile solutions that work directly to Outlook on the desktop."

But there isn't any content related to this. Can you assist?

Sorry about that, the tools app wasn't working. I'll update the page but note, there may not be many mobile apps anymore.
