A Microsoft Outlook user complained about Outlook's handling of recurrences every 2 weeks. The problem: when you create a recurring event for every 2 or more, Outlook begins counting "this week", even if the day is past.
assume it's Wednesday and schedule the recurring event for every two weeks, on Friday. Outlook begins counting on Friday. When the same event is scheduled for Monday, Outlook bypasses the next Monday, skipping ahead 12 days.
Outlook does this because it's going by the week, not the next 7 days. As far as Outlook is concerned, if you want to schedule an event every 2 weeks, you meant it to start "this week", even if the date was earlier in the week.
If you want to start the recurrence "next week", you need to select the date before opening the appointment form or change the Start date when you set the recurring pattern.
