Calendar: View only Working Hours
Users will often ask how to display only their working hours on the Calendar, as set in Outlook’s File > Options > Calendar dialog.
Outlook doesn’t have an option to show only working hours in the Day or Week calendar. It shows as many hours as will fit on the screen, which is affected both by the size of the Outlook window and your time scale.
If you have Outlook at full screen on a large monitor, you’ll see more hours than you will on a small laptop screen or if Outlook is not at full screen. If you use the one-hour time scale, you will see more of the day than you will with the 30- or 15-minute scales.
Outlook’s logic works like this:
The day starts at the Start time for your Work Hours in Calendar Options.
Then it displays as many time periods as will fit, through the end of the day.
If there is room left after 11 PM, Outlook shows more time at the top of the day, going backwards from your start time.
If you only want to see working hours and maybe into the early evening, you will need to change the time scale, change the window size or turn on the Daily Task List.
If you want to see more time periods, use the simplified ribbon or collapse the ribbon to tabs only, and don't use the Daily Task list or reduce its size.
For example, my system, the calendar displays 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM with the 30 min scale. If I use the daily task list, I can adjust the height of the Task List panel so I see only my working hours on the screen. With the 15 minute scale, about 6 hours are visible on the screen, from 7:30 AM through 3 PM.
Using SMTP with Office 365 Business accounts
Users in an Office 365 business tenant who are sending and receiving email using POP or IMAP or use a service that sends mail using SMTP will need to update the SMTP server setting.
The Office 365 administrator will need to enable the endpoint for legacy clients and users will need to update the SMTP server address.
Administrators will run this PowerShell command
Set-TransportConfig -AllowLegacyTLSClients $true
To confirm it’s enabled, use this command
Set-TransportConfig -AllowLegacyTLSClients $true
After it is enabled, users will need to update the SMTP server name in POP or IMAP account, or in services that send mail, to smtp-legacy.office365.com
At this time, Outlook.com accounts are not affected, however, users connecting using POP or IMAP should be using outlook.office365.com for the incoming server name and smtp.office365.com for the outgoing server name. Verify the server settings you should be using in Outlook.com’s Settings (gear icon) > View all Outlook settings > Sync Email.

Mail Merge to Email using Office for Mac
A user wanted to mail merge to email in word for Mac but Merge to Email was not available.
This happens when Outlook is not set as the default email client. When you install Office on a Mac, Outlook does not ask if it should be set as default email client and Word does not automatically use Outlook.
To set Outlook as the default email client, open the Mac Mail app and open it’s Preferences dialog. On the General tab, choose Microsoft Outlook as the default mail app. Close the dialog and Quit Mail.
Restart Word and the Merge to Email option should be available.
