ReliefJet Essentials for Outlook is a set of more than 160 tools for performing a wide range of tasks in Outlook: processing email messages, contacts, appointments, meetings, tasks and other Outlook items.
Today's Highlights:
Mail Merge from Outlook
It’s that time of year again: time to send holiday cards to your Outlook contacts, using Mail Merge to create the envelopes or labels. The easiest way to do this is by starting the merge from Outlook.
Create a filtered view containing the addresses you want to include in the merge, then select Mail Merge on the Home menu. This opens the Mail Merge Contacts dialog; make your selections and clock Ok to open Word with the select contacts set as your merge source.
- Select one or more names in the contacts folder.
- Choose Mail Merge from the Actions section on the Home ribbon.
- Make your choices on the Mail Merge Contacts dialog box, then click OK.
- f you are creating labels, click the Setup button to select the label size.
- After Word displays the merge document, add merge fields, other text and formatting as needed. Save the merge document if you think you might use it again.
- Click the Merge button.

If you are sending electronic holiday greetings and include attachments in the merge, you’ll need to use a macro or an add-in. See Using Mail Merge in Outlook for add-ins. If you want to use a macro, see these articles for macro samples: Use VBA to create a Mail Merge from Excel and Mail Merge to Email using an Outlook Macro
Outlook Mac: Merge to Email
I’ve had several users ask how to merge to email using Outlook on a Mac:
I am trying to do an email merge. I have my Excel file, typed out the message in Word but I can only let me merge to a new document or print. The "merge to email" option is greyed out.
When merge to email is disabled, it means you don’t have Outlook set as your default email client.
Open the Mail application, open Preferences, General and set Outlook as the Default email reader.

Delay Send in Outlook.com
Although it wasn’t the most popular feature in Outlook.com, many people used the Undo Send option to add a few second delay to messages and now that they are on the new interface, can’t find that option.
Unfortunately, the feature to hold mail for a few seconds before sending was removed due to lack of use. It will be coming back, although I don’t know when.
Outlook.com’s New Look
As of this week, all Outlook.com accounts are now using the modern (aka “beta”) interface. If you were one of the lucky ones who was moved last, congratulations! (That’s for being lucky enough to be last.)
Some features, such as the ability to create or move folders to the same level as the Inbox are missing from the new interface. While the beta switch is gone, if you absolutely need to use the classic interface, use this link Outlook.com Classic to bring it up.
