We're seeing more complaints like this:

A user was invited to a meeting but the meeting is showing on her calendar with her as the organizer when in fact the organizer is someone else.

Users may unexpectedly become the organizer for a meeting that they were invited to. This does not change the meeting for all attendees, only the affected person. However, if the user deletes the meeting, it will be cancelled/deleted for all attendees.

This is the result of using Exchange Active Sync to sync an Exchange Server 2007 mailbox with an iPhone, iPad, or Android device and accepting the meeting on the device.

Microsoft has this issue documented in You are incorrectly displayed as a meeting organizer after you synchronize the meeting by using your mobile device in an Exchange Server 2007 environment Knowledge Base article and this issue was first addressed in Rollup Update 4 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 and is included in all later Rollups.

Note that the update will not fix corrupt meetings. If you need to fix the organizer, you will need to delete the damaged meeting from the affected user's calendar, and patch the Exchange Server 2007 to prevent future issues. The organizer will need to recreate the meeting.

I've now switched to my think pad for work and have moved away from the surface I, not a bad machine if I do say so myself. I liked the surface a great deal but it wasn't powerful enough to run some of my higher end programs.

Now that I'm on a full laptop I'm still experiencing the problem where the added space keep occurring even if I delete all the styles in the gallery, save it as the default for all new document, even when I've gone into MS Word and saved it as the default. I really think that it's Outlook now, since it's occurred on two machines.

It's usually caused by syncing - the space is turned into an html

tag which has more space between the paragraphs.

Also, when I select "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style" in an email, in the paragraph popup window. And then set that as the default. The next email doesn't have it selected, even though I set it as the default for all documents.

Did you close the email message you had open when you made the change? Don't send it, close and reopen it.

The company is using msexchange, I use a Samsung 4s, and a surface. The apt. are doing it again this morning and I'm only using the surface (I, not the II). I'm wondering if the bug could be the style I'm using. For some reason it won't accept it. Style: Properties: Name: No Spacing Style type: Paragraph Style based on: (no style) Style for following paragraph: No Spacing Formatting Times New Roman 12 B I U Automatic Left Justified, Single Spacing Example Box Font: (Default) Times New Roman 12 pt. Left Line Spacing: single, Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style, Window/Orphan control, Style: Automatically update, Show in the Styles Gallery, Priority 2 (Checked) Add to the Styles Gallery (Checked) Automatically Update (selected) Only in this document Note: I have selected New documents based upon this template in the past but the new appointments do not automatically mirror this style and I have to go back in, highlight everything, and then select (apply) this style to the appointment. ============================== I'm wondering if it's the way I set up the style? Or if there's a way I can set this up as the default for ALL appointment without having… Read more »

Any change in default styles would apply to mail and other outlook items too, but setting the default style - without saving or sending the appointment. You need to close the appt without saving/sending to set the global value. I don't think the sync is affecting it, but will check it on my android just to be sure.

What could be the issue on my end? I'm still running into this problem. It's odd.

What type of email account? Are you syncing with a smartphone? The sync process could be doing it. If it's Outlook.com, are you using outlook connector (2010 and older) or Outlook 2013?

I wasn't able to repro it - the spacing is fine here.

BUG: Appointment format always adds space between lines. Right Click "Paragraph Menu" - Indents & Spacing. Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style.

After selecting this check box it corrects the spacing issue, however, eventually the same appointment will gain the spaces back and I'll have to re-check that box. It appears to happens after the event/appointment has expired and I update it to be current, but I'm not certain.

I've attempted to make that the standard formatting in Word, but that doesn't seem to correct the problem.

Issue still persists even after I've updated the style and selected all the events/appointments and changed their style to the new style which I've named "no space".

Anything to help on this?

I'll have to test it - offhand, I can't think of any cause or solution.
