While some of the problems are related to bugs (which may or may not get fixed), many of the problems are just how Outlook was designed, which doesn't necessarily fit with how we want to use it. Other problems are caused by the interaction between Outlook and other programs or Outlook add-ins.

Outlook is sending unknown messages

We're seeing reports from users that suspect Outlook is sending spam. Some users think it means that their computer is infected with an previously unknown spambot, it's not. .XNK Extension Error: "Cannot Open File"

When you attempt to open an Exchange Server Public Folder using a .xnk shortcut you receive the following Error: Cannot Open File This is due to tighter security in Outlook 2007. Workaround If you need to open xnk shortcut files, you can create a link association between the .xnk file name extension and Outlook 2007.

We're seeing users complain about an error message popping up on the computer screen. The error dialog doesn't contain much information about the program or the cause. When you receive an error when printing HTML formatted email it's a problem with the IE printing process. At the Start, Run command, type the following in the field and press Ok. regsvr32 shdocvw.dll Tip: To open the Run command, press Windows Key + R in any Windows version. Invalid Page Fault in Outlrpc.dll

If you get an invalid page fault in module Outlrpc.dll, when you start Outlook, this probably means that you have an outdated or damaged Msvcrt40.dll file on your system. Msvcrt40.dll is a Microsoft C Runtime Library file and is in your \Windows\System folder. The correct file is version 4.10.6038 with a size of 326,656 bytes

iPhone, Outlook, and Disappearing Appointments
