Agenda Pane Missing in New Outlook

New Outlook (and Outlook on the web) had an agenda pane that came up when you clicked on a date in the calendar. It showed all of the events for that day. That was removed in the latest update. Now you just get a little popup with the event subject, start time, notes and other information for the event you clicked on.

The agenda button is still in my new Outlook but it's a popup and cannot be pinned open. Open it using the small rectangle icon at the bottom right of the calendar when in month view after selecting a date.. The small rectangle button was removed from Outlook on the web (and will be removed from new Outlook too.)

Instead of selecting a date in the main calendar, select a date in the My Day calendar to view all events scheduled on that day. The My Day pane has an agenda option too. To choose the Agenda view in the My Day panel, click the three dots on the right of calendar month and choose Agenda. The agenda view displays events on future dates too, and you can scroll the calendar using the mouse wheel to see future dates. This is basically the same as the agenda pane, once you get used to clicking a date in the My Day calendar.

How to Contact Microsoft Support

Two questions I often see users ask:

What is the email to contact Microsoft support?
What is the phone number for Microsoft support?

The answer to both question is "there isn't one". Users need to use the Contact Us form online. Users can also use the Get Help app on Windows computers. Either option will let the user chat with a tech support agent or open a support case.

If the user needs Microsoft 365 Office support and has a Microsoft 365 subscription, they may be able to request a callback. Non-subscribers are generally limited to online chat support.

Why is Contact Us form or the Get Help the only way to contact Microsoft support? Because an email address would be flooded with billions of spam. Not to mention, they'd get a lot of questions about software from other companies and other questions not related to Microsoft software. There is not a phone number for consumers to call support for much the same reason, plus phone support is expensive and many questions already have answers online.

Business subscriptions have limited phone support options, but Microsoft prefers business admins open support cases within the admin portal over calling.

The exception is when the only admin can't log in. They'll need to call the Microsoft Data Protection team for assistance. The numbers are in this article: Customer service phone numbers

Send Button Moved on Outlook Mobile

Microsoft is moving the Send button in the mobile app, from the bar at the top of the keyboard to the top of the message, to the right of the To address field (or From field). The Send button won't display until there is an address added to the To field. They started rolling out the change recently but it may be a few weeks to a couple of months before everyone has the Send button at the top right.

Why did Microsoft make this change? They moved the button to make it more difficult to accidentally send a message.

That said, there was a bug in an recent update and the Send button was hidden. I believe it should be fixed now for all users.

Restore Blocked Sender Dialog in Classic Outlook

A user wrote: "I mistakenly checked the box for "Don't show this again" on the blocked sender dialog box that says "The sender of the selected message has been added to your Blocked Senders List, and the message has been moved to the Junk E-mail folder". How do I get it back? "

When you check the box to "don't show" in classic Outlook's dialogs, a value is added to the registry so classic Outlook knows not to show it again.

To show the dialogs again, you need to edit the registry and remove the code for blocked sender (35) from the PONT_STRING value in this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Office > 16.0 > Outlook > Options > General. (For Outlook 2013 and older versions of Outlook, you need to change the version number.)

I have the steps in the following article, along with many of the "don't show" dialog codes. You can either delete just the one value, or delete all and have the dialogs come up again.
