Is your Internet Explorer history cluttered with hundreds of entries similar to the URL shown in the screenshot, with a path similar to the following URL?
If you try to open these files, IE reports the file can't be found.
These files generated each time you view an email message in Outlook when you have the people pane enabled. The entry is made in your Internet History but the file is deleted as soon as you select different message or item in Outlook.
Slow or stop the creation of the temp files
If you minimize the people pane, turn off the people pane, or disable it, these files won't be created. You can expand the people pane only when you need to see the contents in the people pane to reduce the number of files created.
To minimize the people pane in Outlook 2010 and up, click on the collapse button on the right of the people pane header. Click the button again to restore it. You can also use the People Pane command on the View ribbon to minimize the people pane or turn it off. In Outlook 2003/2007, look for this command on the View menu.
To disable the people pane, deselect the Social Connector add-in in the Trust Center. In Outlook 2010 and up, go to File > Options > Add-ins. Click the Go button at the bottom of the page and remove the check from the Social Connector. In Outlook 2007, you'll go to Tools, Trust Center and in Outlook 2003, you'll go to Tools, Options, Other tab, Advanced Options button.
Remove from History
To remove these files from your history, use a view that groups by folder (By Date or By Site) and delete the Computer folder to remove them. This is a temporary solution as they will come back when you view content in the people pane.
