This month's update for Outlook 2016 fixes the "attachment problem" and adds the ability to select and interact with multiple attachments in Outlook 2016.
The other big news is this month's Office 2016 update adds the Black theme to Office 2016. While the black theme looks great in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, it doesn't work well with Outlook's panes. I think Outlook ends up looking like a choppy sea of black and blue.
In addition to the attachment issue, the Outlook update also addresses the following issues:
When you open an email message, you receive the Access Denied error message. This is because an incorrect cached token is used to access email messages if you open different email messages within 60 seconds.
When you try to open or save an attachment that has a long file name in an email message, Outlook crashes.
For the developers, these issues are fixed:
You can parse nested rule collections in Outlook add-in manifests.
When you send a meeting request that has an attachment and the save operation is called by the ItemSend event, you receive this error message: The operation failed.
When you do a Save as operation for a custom form, there's no response and no dialog box appears.
If you are using a subscription version of Office 2016, the updates should be installed automatically, or you can check for updates in File, Account by clicking the Update now button.

You get the drop-downs opened on every click, but finally you can get your attachments selected.
I was just updated today to Office 365 2016 version (and I use windows 10).
All emails were removed from my server in spike of i have configured leave a copy in the server for 20 days. i use Outlook with pop3 and my cel with imap
I googled this and there are many reports, so far MS has not admitted is there bug.
They know about it and it should be fixed in early april. you can either set outlook to not delete from the server after 20 days or uninstall the update (or more accurately, revert to previous version) . My recommendation is to uninstall See this article for more information https://www.slipstick.com/outlook/updates/outlook-2016pop-problems-update/
