Setting the working hours in Outlook's calendar is a problem for anyone who works a mix of full and half days. The best option is adding an out of office appointment to fill in the half days, so no one can create an appointment with you.
While I don't expect this to change any time soon, if you'd like the ability to set different working hours each day, you can vote on the request at Outlook Uservoice: Option to customize daily work hours in Calendar in Microsoft Outlook 2016
I fully agree. It is quite oldfashioned not to allow for daily working time variations. Lotus Notes had this option, but we moved to Outlook ....Why should it be so difficult to implement?
Lotus has other cool features outlook doesn't. :( Like recurring event that doesn't fit a pattern.
I have no idea why they didn't implement it - it is a highly requested feature.
I have been blessed by your help since 1999, when I started an I.T. role at as Help Desk Coordinator for a large organization. Since then, I have done many other roles from desktop/laptop support, to sys. admin. , db admin, s/w development, etc. ... and I *still* today benefit from your great work! Thank you so much!!
