Diane:
I saw where you had removed the websetters repeating, but not recurring outlook appointments add-in from this site. It still seems to be the main suggestion for people who need that option (the second 'close' suggestion I read isn't really feasibly when it's something like 100 appointments).
do you know of any other add-ins that will do this - preferably within Outlook 2016?
I'm not aware of any other addins that do it. I don't recall exactly why i removed it - it was either because they were no longer selling it or their website was down for a long time. I don't know if it works with newer versions (just because an addin hasn't been updated doesn't mean it won't work) but it may not matter the link to download from this page: http://www.websetters.co.uk/WSRAII/index.htm doesn't work.
Just curious if there is a way to include a default category in any new calendar entries. I combed through the calendar tools/utilities on Slipstick and nothing popped out.
Thanks,

Not using a native feature (you can set a default quick click category but would need to add it to each item) - you could use a macro to set a category when you opened or saved a new item or create a custom form with a category preselected. (basic process for the custom form is here - https://www.slipstick.com/outlook/contacts/show-the-home-address-on-contact-form/ )
Thanks very much. The quick click category works well as long as my aging memory kicks in every time. I have used custom forms in the past but I am not sure how this will work since I need to categorize appointments in my business calendar. I expect inbound appointments will not default to the custom form. I will brush up on both custom forms and Macros to see if either will provide a bit more automation compared to quick click category. Thanks for the recommendations!
Happy 2017 to you and all!
Hi Diane,
I am trying to figure out a way of getting replies to a meeting invitation reaching not only the organised but some other members attending a given meeting.
For example:
1) I send out an invitation to George, Vincent, Maria, Diane.
2) The replies from all (regardless of accept or tentative or reject) reach me and Diane
-Ideally, it would be in fact nice to configure who are the recipients every time I set up a meeting, as sometimes i might want to do this for all but other times maybe only specific people.
What add-in / plug-in would you suggest as a solution to this problem?
Kind regards
Loukas
I just realised that there is a forum to ask this, apologies!
I'm not aware of any plugins, but you can set the recipients for replies (in Properties) - but they won't get the responses.
