When you are using Word as your e-mail editor and receive the following error message:
Microsoft Word is set to be your e-mail editor. However, Word is unavailable, not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook e-mail editor will be used instead. An OLE registration error occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the program.
To fix: Close all office applications and go to Start menu, Run (or use Windows key + R) and type (or copy and paste)
Regsvr32 ole32.dll
Press Enter or click OK to restart Outlook.
In rare cases you may need to use the full path to the OLE32.dll and would use this command line:
Regsvr32 %windir%\system32\ole32.dll
Or, you need to use an elevated prompt, ie, you need to use 'run as administrator'
To do this, type cmd in the start menu's search field or go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and locate Command Prompt
Right-click on Command Prompt and then choose Run as administrator.
At the prompt, type
Regsvr32 ole32.dll

THIS WORKS!! Go "Control Panel" go to "Programs" go to "install/uninstall programs". Highlight your Word program. It will ask you if you want to repair or uninstall. Click repair!! it will fix itself!! (I tried all other ideas first!)
Hi,
I am getting the error code 0x80070005 (The module ole32.dll was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed) when I try out the remedial measure.
Kindly suggest a fix for this problem.
