Problem: Fax stuck in the Outbox (Microsoft Fax)

On a standalone system

  1. Create a new profile containing only the Personal Folders service
  2. Exit and log out of Outlook/Exchange, then restart it using the new profile. The message in the Outbox should fail with a "no transport provider" message.
  3. Exit and log out of Outlook/Exchange, restart it with your original profile, then try to resend the fax.
On a system faxing through a network fax server
  1. Exit and log out of Outlook/Exchange on both computers.
  2. On the network server, delete the spool files in the C:\Windows\Spool\Fax folder.
  3. Restart Outlook/Exchange on both systems.
