Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 Service Pack 1

Service Pack 1 for Exchange Server 2000 is available for download here. The download page labels the files as for the Enterprise version, but they're for both Standard and Enterprise.

At the same page, U.S. and Canadian customers can also order a 3-CD set that includes Microsoft Outlook 2002, Microsoft Outlook 2001 for Macintosh, and Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server SP1. In other countries, you'll probably need to go through your local Microsoft web site or office.

SP1 includes several significant new features, including a new version of Mailbox Manager for Exchange 2000 and full support for web forms.

Microsoft recommends that you install Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 before installing Exchange 2000 SP1. For other critical issues that you should consider when planning your SP1 rollout, check the Release Notes.

  • Ability to upload files to public folders
  • Deleted item recovery -- via the View Items command on the Options page
  • Week numbers in the Calendar -- optional setting on the Options page
