Social networking privacy settings are more important than ever: When the Facebook provider is installed in Outlook, a sender or recipient's status updates may be visible to anyone using the Facebook provider. Even people who do not use Outlook or the social connector need to check their Facebook settings, otherwise anyone they send email to or are included as recipients on messages to may be able to see their profile picture or feeds.
How much a recipient can see depends on the privacy settings at Facebook. If a person whose address is in your Inbox or Contacts has their profile:
Remember: The address associated with Facebook
needs to be the same email address used for email
(or on the contact record in Outlook). If the
email address used on a messages is not
registered under account settings for the social
network, the user’s profile photo and activities
will not appear in the people pane. So, if you
want to insure colleagues and work contacts can’t
see your information, don’t associate your work
address with your Facebook profile.
The default setting for LinkedIn is to display
profile photos to people in your "network" - this
includes your connections and those who are
connected to your connections. This can be
changed to display the photo only your
connections or everyone. This can be changed to
only your connections or everyone. Member feeds
have a similar setting.

As many users have discovered, Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2010 is included only in the volume-license suite and in TechNet or MSDN subscriptions, it is not included in any of the retail suites. However, any user who purchased a qualifying Office 2007 product that includes BCM prior to September 30, 2010 can get BCM 2010 through the Technology Guarantee program.
Microsoft has this to say: "The Office Team is aware of the issues you are experiencing because of the limited number of suites Business Contact Manager is available. We are currently investigating possible solutions. BCM 2007 users who are upgrading to Office 2010, should contact Microsoft Support and let support know that you have existing BCM 2007 data and need BCM 2010. Users can click the Get Help Now link at the Outlook Solution Center, http://support.microsoft.com/ph/14864."
Slipstick.com encourages any user who needs BCM to call support. While general availability of BCM in earlier versions caused issues for people who installed it but did not use it, limiting availability to volume licensing is too restrictive - many of the smaller organizations who could benefit from BCM do not purchase volume licenses or TechNet/MSDN. We'd like to see it made available to anyone who requests it, not just users of previous versions of BCM and the only way this will happen is if enough people call.
Until the Office team announces a solution, BCM users will need to remove Outlook 2010 (after calling support!) and reinstall Outlook 2007 and BCM 2007.
A user recently asked about a problem with the
dialer in Outlook 2010: "In Outlook 2007 (32
bit), I could initiate a telephone call from a
contact by clicking on the appropriate icon. A
screen for the call asked if I wanted the as
journal entry started for the call. I could
proceed to make a call out of Outlook whether I
did or did not want a journal entry. I purchased
Office 2010 Home & Business several weeks ago.
After opening a "Contact" Clicking on the "Call"
icon in the Ribbon does not initiate a telephone
call to the Contract. Nothing happens. Should I
uninstall and then reinstall?"
Nope, no need to uninstall Office and reinstall.
There is a known issue with Office Communicator
and TAPI (which Outlook uses for making calls)
and Outlook will not use TAPI if Office
Communicator 2007 R2 is running. Both Outlook
2007 and 2010 are affected and the fix is the
same for both. You can either exit Communicator
and retry or create a TAPIOVERRIDE registry
entry.
If the Call Integration key does not exist, create it and add the
TAPIOVERRIDE key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Call Integration
DWORD: TAPIOVERRIDE
Value: 1
On a client computer that is running Office Communicator 2007, you may be
unable to make a TAPI call from Office Outlook 2007

Users who purchased Office 2010 and want to use Outlook to send mail from other applications (like QuickBooks), use add-ins, or sync with a smartphone, do not want the click-to-run installation. (They may not want 64-bit either: many applications will not work with the 64-bit version.)
A user reported problems synchronizing his Android based smartphone and calendar items in an Exchange 2010 mailbox. He discovered his phone wouldn't sync appointments with categories, but removing the categories allowed the calendar to sync.
