Over the last few months we've seen a number of
complaints where all new messages are delivered
to the Deleted Items folder. A hotfix released
this week addresses this problem (and many more).
Additionally, the hotfix provides a design
change: the Secure Temp folder for Outlook 2007
is automatically cleared when you exit Outlook.
This behavior change is important to note as
users will no longer be able to recover
attachments accidently saved to the secure temp
folder.
Among the other issues addressed by this hotfix
are the following:

I was hoping for a hotfix when I saw a newly
released KB article referring to "Rules in
Error". Outlook 2007 SP2 introduced a bug (which
remains in Outlook 2010) in the Rules wizard
process: when you reply to a message with a
template, the rule errors. Unfortunately, the
work around doesn't seem to work. In my tests,
the error occurs whether you use Run Rules Now or
automatically run the rules as messages arrive.

The last couple of weeks brought us updates for
both Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010.
The big news is that SP3 enables Exchange 2007 to
be installed on the Windows Server 2008 R2. SP3
also has Windows 7 support for the Exchange
management tools. Clean installations on new
servers are possible with Exchange 2007 SP3. See
the release notes for more information.

On plain text messages, Outlook removes line breaks automatically by default. This option can be changed in Tools, Options, Preferences tab, Email Options button (or File, Options, mail in Outlook 2010): "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages"
To keep the option enabled but prevent line breaks from being removed from multi-line signatures and other text that should remain on separate lines, indent each line three spaces.

Choose the 32-bit
or 64-bit version of Microsoft Office
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/choose-the-32-bit-or-64-bit-version-of-microsoft-office-HA010369476.aspx
Office 2010 provides support for the 32-bit
version of Office 2010 programs running on 64-bit
operating systems by using WOW64, a compatibility
environment provided by the operating system that
allows a 32-bit application to run on a Windows
64-bit operating system. Using the 32-bit version
of Office 2010 allows people to continue to use
existing third-party add-ins for Office that are
32-bit. The 32-bit version of Office 2010 is the
recommended option for most users, because it
prevents potential compatibility issues with
other 32-bit applications, specifically
third-party add-ins that are available only for
32-bit operating systems.
