Install BCM on computers that don't meet the requirements

BCM 2010 installer requires 1GB ram and 1GHz processor but you can make it work with lesser machines

Business contact Manager 2010 was designed to run on computers with a minimum of 1GB RAM and 1 GHz processors but you can fake it out so the installer runs. Note that if you do this, you can expect poor performance and slow(er) responses, but if you need it BCM on an ultra small laptop or netbook, it may be necessary to do this.

This error may also occur if your video card uses some of the computer’s memory and Windows reports having less memory as a result.

You can do this one of two ways: edit the setup.ini and change the requirements or change the CPU frequency in the registry (its reset to the correct frequency after a reboot.)

My recommendation: change the setup.ini – its generally easier.

Edit setup.ini

Open setup.ini and change the RegMem and ReqCPU values to something lower, such as 1.

For example, if it shows:
ReqMem=512
ReqCPU=1000

Change it to:
ReqMem=1
ReqCPU=1

Change CPU in registry

If you prefer to change the registry so BCM “sees” the correct processor, edit. the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\Description\System\CentralProcessor\0\
