Exchange 5.5 SP1 is no longer
available. You'll need to install a later update or upgrade to a
newer version of Exchange. You may be able to find the installation
files on the Internet if you search for the file name.
For detailed
information on Service Pack 1 for Exchange Server 5.5, use
one of these methods:
(RTF format) Download and run the self-extracting
SP1_55RE.EXE
file, then read the Readme.rtf (English), Lisezmoi.rtf
(French) or Info.rtf (German) file.
(HTML format with contents and index) Download and
run the self-extracting
SP1_55RE.EXE
and
SP1_55DC.EXE
files, making sure that you extract them to the same
folder (for example, a new folder named \SP1). Then,
launch the Readme.htm (English), Lisezmoi.htm (French)
or Info.htm (German) file.

SP1 is
no longer available for download from Microsoft.

The download files include only a few updates for
installation directly on client systems:
Updated 16-bit Windows client
Updated Macintosh client supporting Motorola M680x0
processors and Power Macintosh systems running MacOS
8, including version 8.1.
For the 32-bit client, an update file that extracts
three separate updates:
Language pack
Schedule+ Exchange Transport DLL that allows you
to open Microsoft Outlook calendards from within
Schedule+ 7.x.
S/MIME program updates to enable Outlook 98 and
Outlook Express 4.01 recipients to decrypt S/MIME
messages sent to more than 15 addresses
A complete update to the 32-bit Windows client is NOT
available for download. The client that comes with SP1 is
Outlook 98, available only on the SP1 CD.
