Many services allow you to send messages to your
pager or SMS device using a special e-mail address.
Other issues to consider when you are evaluating pager software
is whether your paging service can strip off the headers of
forwarded e-mail messages or send notifications of reminders.
Access email, contacts, calendar, and corporate directory in your Exchange mailbox via voice commands or touchtone. Also provides SMS notifications of appointments and urgent messages. Users can have the office system dial their calls to Outlook or Exchange contacts to take advantage of corporate phone rates.
Client and server components for transmitting SMS messages from Outlook. The optional client MAPI transport (not compatible with Outlook 98 or 2000 in Internet Mail Only mode) allows Outlook users to address messages to [SMS:phone number]. The server functions as an SMTP gateway between any SMTP messaging system and the Orbis SMS server. An ActiveX component is also available to developers.
